Religion

Coping with medical tragedies through religious beliefs and facing these problems with a positive attitude can make dealing with these situations more bearable. About 79% of patients who were surveyed said that their religious beliefs helped them cope with their illness.

This shows how clinicians need to recognize the power of theology when trying to help a client coping with a serious medical situation. The end of life reality for some people can be a very peaceful time of acceptance or can be a time of negative ness and bitterness. This choice can develop from beliefs that there is peace in a belief system to depend on.
